Good candidate for clear aligner treatment

Moderate complexity · Favorable predictability

Favorable alignment potential. Pay particular attention to lower-incisor torque during treatment planning.

How it works
I · Identify

Find your next clear aligner patient before they leave the office.

Romeo analyzes the records you already collect — scans, X-rays, photos, and treatment history — to identify patients who may be good candidates for clear aligner treatment and flag cases that may be better referred.

The Romeo Clinical Engine:

  • Identifies potential clear aligner candidates.
  • Flags cases that may be better referred.
  • Assesses case complexity and treatment predictability.
  • Explains the clinical reasoning behind every recommendation.

Why
  • Lower occlusal shows mild anterior irregularity with slight overlap of 42/32 and a small residual space distal to 42. [crowding / spacing]
  • Canine rotation clears 30°, where aligner accuracy drops off a cliff. [override flag]
  • Similar cases needed one to two refinements to finish. [60,000-case library]
II · Guide

Guide every case like an orthodontist.

For every case, Romeo evaluates treatment complexity, movement predictability, and relevant clinical factors, then explains its recommendation in clear language you can review and use.

Its guidance is informed by the experience of 60,000 completed clear aligner records, helping you distinguish which cases are straightforward, which require more caution, and which may be better referred.

  • Reduce refinements and unexpected treatment delays.
  • Treat more cases with greater confidence.
  • Deliver more predictable outcomes while saving chair time.

III · Start

Patients who understand treatment are more likely to start.

Romeo turns complex clinical findings into clear, personalized explanations patients can understand. It shows patients what you found, why it matters, and what treatment can do—helping them feel informed and ready to make a decision.

Patients can review their treatment recommendation, ask questions, sign electronically, pay, and get started in one connected experience.

  • Create personalized treatment explanations in minutes.
  • Help patients understand why treatment matters.
  • Move patients from recommendation to acceptance in one connected experience.
Patient copy · what we found

Your lower front teeth don't have enough room, which is causing them to overlap. This can make them harder to clean and may become more noticeable over time.

One tooth, a canine, is rotated further than aligners usually correct on their own, so your dentist may plan extra steps for it. Straightening these teeth may make them easier to clean while also improving the appearance of your smile.

IV · Monitor

Treatment only works when it's worn.

Clear aligner treatment depends on consistent wear and proper tracking. Romeo helps your practice identify problems early, before missed wear or poor tracking leads to unnecessary refinements, delays, and extra chair time.

Cases started in Romeo stay connected through monitoring, keeping treatment progress, patient compliance, and follow-up together in one continuous workflow.

  • Identify compliance and tracking issues earlier.
  • Reduce avoidable refinements, delays, and extra chair time.
  • Keep treatment progress and follow-up connected in one patient record.
  • Use your preferred monitoring service, or let Romeo help you get started.

FAQ

Why is Romeo different from other dental AI tools?

Most dental AI tools analyze an image or automate a single task. Romeo was built while treating real orthodontic patients from start to finish, so it answers the question a dentist actually has: should I take this case?

The rubric and the look-alike library come from 60,000 completed cases, combined with the clinical workflows our orthodontists used to manage treatment every day. That is an operating system for clear aligner care rather than a feature.

How does Romeo make its recommendations?

In three separate layers, and keeping them separate is the point.

First, the model looks at your photos, x-ray, and scan and returns a structured, graded finding in each of twelve rubric categories, plus a set of override flags. It writes no prose at this stage.

Second, a fixed and versioned scoring engine turns those findings into the verdict. It is ordinary arithmetic against thresholds you can read, with no model involved. Same inputs, same verdict, every time.

Third, the model explains the engine's output, citing the rubric category, rubric clause, or comparable case behind every claim.

That separation is what makes the verdict auditable. A call you cannot trace back to an input is worthless in a chart.

Who makes the final clinical decision?

You do. Romeo gives a clear clinical opinion and recommends further diagnostics when they are warranted, but you remain responsible for diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care.

Do I need to be an orthodontist to use Romeo?

No. Romeo was designed specifically to help general dentists confidently provide clear aligner treatment. It organizes the records, names the concerns, and gives a structured recommendation with the reasoning attached.

What information does Romeo require?

The same records you would normally collect before starting aligner treatment:

  • Intraoral and extraoral photos
  • A digital scan or impression
  • A radiograph, when appropriate
  • Basic patient information and treatment goals

No new hardware and no new scanner. The more complete the records, the more specific Romeo's read becomes.

Does Romeo work with my preferred aligner brand?

Yes. Romeo is aligner-brand agnostic. Whether you use a national manufacturer or a local laboratory, Romeo fits your existing workflow.

Can my assistant prepare cases for me?

Yes, and this is how most practices run it. An assistant or treatment coordinator uploads records, organizes cases, and manages patient follow-up; you review the finished guides on your own time. Practice members can read and review each other's cases, which is what makes that handoff work.

Is my patient data secure?

Patient data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is controlled through secure authentication and per-practice permissions. Every access to a colleague's case is written to an audit record in both directions. Romeo was designed against HIPAA's technical safeguards rather than retrofitted to them.

Can Romeo support multiple practice locations?

Yes. Romeo is designed for both single-location practices and multi-location groups. Doctors and team members can manage cases across offices through one platform with practice-level visibility and access controls.

Why should I trust Romeo's recommendations?

Romeo wasn't built in a lab. It was built while treating real orthodontic patients, and its rubric and look-alike library come from 60,000 completed cases.

Every day our clinical team faced the questions dentists face: which patients should be treated, how treatment becomes more predictable, how patients stay compliant, how cases finish cleanly. Romeo captures those answers as a fixed rubric you can read, and it will tell you to refer a case when that is the right call.
